In 1991 I got drafted into the army and put into a unit with reaaaly big trucks that were made for transporting tanks and the like. It was kinda fascinating and a few years later I tried to build one of the trucks in 3d. With days and days of experience in modeling it turned out to be…well, I am going to model it again someday. As part of my personal history and the fact that its a big, loud and stinky machine, I am still kinda fascinated by it and always wanted to give it another try. You can expect to see it in the “Work in progress” section soon.

My 1st Finished Project

This is the first really finished project dating back to September 1997. It was a project for an art course. I experimented a lot with 3d programs before that but I never considered an image finished.
The tomatoes on the label and the bowl are also 3d objects, everything else is made in Photoshop, nothing is scanned.
Of course, from todays point of view this is a horrible piece of work and I would never put that spoon in my mouth because I might cut myself severely but 10 years ago I was pretty happy with it. The software I used for this, a program called Highlight Professional, is not being developed anymore since a few years but it is free to download here.
